Canberra Family goes Speechless to cure Rett Syndrome

All is quiet in the Dow family home today as Oscar (aged 9) and his parents Susan and Mark all take on the Speechless challenge together for 24 hours.

The Dow family first learnt about Rett Syndrome when their young friend Abigail, was diagnosed at age 3. From that first day, they became fierce advocates for Abigail, learning what they could about Rett Syndrome and raising funds and awareness whenever they could.

This year, alongside other fund raising efforts they have decided to take on the Speechless challenge as a family. As so aptly put by Oscar in this video, its a chance to "...find out what people with Rett Syndrome go through in their day to day lives".

An amazing effort from a truly wonderful family. Speechless is looking forward to hearing about their experience.
